Sometimes my arms bend back

Hello 2014!

Hi Gang,

Well, it seems like that last WordPress update has broken how my photos worked (the captions no longer appear, which means 90% of the narration here is now invisible), so I am working on porting the content to something more stable. Serves me right for tweaking everything to hell and back, eh? But you know me – I can’t keep it normal.

Meanwhile – I have started a gallery for my work, here: http://www.mystery10.com

Stand by for the inevitable change to the look and feel, here, and thanks for stopping by!

Kitchen Phase One – complete

It’s been a very hectic Fall… Here is the story of the kitchen, in pictures and captions. In the Spring we will finish the work – replacing the floor and adding in the molding.

Layin’ Pipe (wakka chicka)

So about three years ago we had a wet spot appear on a wall. I busted out the bottom third and found an 88 year old leaking galvanized pipe, which we had repaired with a simple rubber membrane clamped to the rusted area. Finally, we had the money to fix it properly, and had all the piping replaced to the second floor, which was sorely needed. Now, we are having the drywall hung and hope to be back to “normal” soon! Of course, project creep is happening and I think I’m going to throw more money at this and do the walls, counters, and floor in one (semi protracted) fell swoop. The plumbers accidentally trashed our linoleum flooring, so they will replace it for us when we’re ready. This makes the decision to redo everything else easier. Our official motto is “fuck it”.

Busy so busy

Wonderfest is in a week! Still busy updating the France trip pics, finishing up a Hero TIE Fighter (ANH flavor), thrilling to Gordon’s mellower personality, finding interesting things in bell peppers, and still AMAZED that we hung out with Boris Williams…

New Shoes!

Be sure to click “France” in the top menu to see our trip pics! Moe content added daily-ish! Lots of pics to slog through. Currently enjoying some painful red itch eye, which apparently is allergy related, and not in fact conjunctivitis. Huh.

Random stuff

A movie with Sebastian the cat, who loved jumping for his stick, circa 1999.

In 1999, I found the rarest POTF2 figure and opened it. The internet was outraged that day, lol.

In 2003, I had an Indiana Jones 16 foot kangaroo whip. I loved cracking it.

Blasts from my past

This is a collection of photos showing things I made from the pre-digital era, from the late 1970s to about 1999.

Maschinen Krieger Lunadiver Stingray 1/20th builds

In 2008, I created a master pattern for the Lunadiver Stingray, which you can see here. The instruction guide is in pdf form, and chronicles the first build which I gave to Lincoln Wright to paint for Wonderfestival 2009. His paint work was wonderful and defined the way many would paint the Lunadiver models going forward. Download the guide here. Here are photographs of the models I made from my castings.
